Get Muddy for a Good Cause! - Mia Ceramics, in our Holland Park studio, is holding a Ceramic Workshop in support of Sisters of the Saddle 2026 on Sat. Sept. 5, 2-5pm with a portion of the workshop price donated to fundraising for Traction and Zephyr Education.

Participants will explore clay surface textures, printing and Wheel Throwing techniques while creating a ceramic plate, wheel thrown bowl and clay sculpture. All your pieces will be glazed in your choice of glaze colours.  You will also receive a homemade morning tea making the afternoon creative, fun and social. All levels are welcome and beginners will be supported throughout the process.

Spots are limited so to avoid disappointment please organise asap. Limited to friends of Sisters of the Saddle.

The Ceramic Workshop will be held in our Holland Park studio. Additional information will be emailed with your confirmation.

Pickup from my Holland Park (4121) studio is available. You will be notified by email when your order is ready for collection.

The work is food safe, dishwasher and microwave safe (except for gold lustre wares) and oven proof.

Each piece of our ceramics is individually handcrafted by means of wheel throwing, slab construction and slip casting from a variety of Australian clays.  They have undergone two firings: a bisque fire to 1000 degrees celsius and secondly a glaze fire from 1220-1280 degrees celsius for strength and durability. Some pieces have had a third firing with 23k gold lustre and ceramic decal decoration.

If you have seen an item that is out of stock or you are interested in placing a custom order for a particular event or business, please reach out to us via email. Usually items can be created and shipped within 4 – 6 weeks.
